Football Preview: Davidson Warriors vs. McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets        
        
		
             Davidson is 1-6 against McGill-Toolen since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Davidson Warriors will square off against the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets at 12:00  p.m. Given that  both  suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  match.
 Davidson is headed into Friday's   game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game  on Friday. They fell to Bryant  25-19.
 Despite the  loss, Davidson got top-tier performance from   Terrance Gray, who rushed for 265 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave  Gray a new career-high in  rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Edward Harrison, who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 370  rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're  rushing yard total in three consecutive  matchups.
 Meanwhile, McGill-Toolen came up short against  Saraland on Friday, falling  34-12. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings  (they are ranked 48th, while the Spartans are ranked second).
 Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for McGill-Toolen,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-3.
 Davidson might still be hurting after the  37-12 loss they got from McGill-Toolen  when the teams last played  back in September of 2019. Can Davidson avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
