Basketball Recap: Woodstock Comes Up Short

Woodstock and Thetford Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Woodstock had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 43-40 to the Thetford Academy Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-40 last Friday.

Woodstock's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Thetford Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3-1 record this season.

Woodstock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thetford Academy, they will take on Winooski at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Winooski comes in on three and Thetford Academy on eight.
