Volleyball Recap: Yuma Catholic Wins Going Away Against ALA - Ironwood

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Yuma Catholic had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the ALA - Ironwood Warriors 3-0. The Shamrocks haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-20.

Annie Scarborough paced Yuma Catholic's offense, picking up 12 kills. Scarborough got some help from Natalie Lawseth and her 21 assists. Lawseth was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, ALA - Ironwood still got an impressive performance from Emilee Rodriguez, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Yuma Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 32-4. As for ALA - Ironwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-19.

Coming up, Yuma Catholic is taking a road trip to challenge Florence at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. ALA - Ironwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
