Recap: Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Warbirds vs. Oakes Tornadoes
The Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Warbirds lost against the Oakes Tornadoes back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Wyndmere/Lidgerwood fell to Oakes 45-40.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oakes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kassidy Jackson, who scored 12 points along with seven steals and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Thorpe, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Wyndmere/Lidgerwood has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Oakes, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Wyndmere/Lidgerwood will head out on the road to take on Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oakes, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Richland at 7:00 p.m. Richland is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
