Volleyball Recap: Morning Star Academy Gets the Win

Morning Star Academy won the last time they faced Tri-State Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Morning Star Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-10, 25-16, 25-21.

Kaitlyn Amman paced Morning Star Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Amman got some help from Maddie Bohonek and her 20 assists. Amman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Morning Star Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tri-State Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morning Star Academy will square off against rival Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Tri-State Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Quad Cities Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
