Football Game Preview: Pisgah Dragons vs. Lake Hornets + How To Watch

Pisgah is 1-6 against Lake since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Dragons will venture away from home to take on the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Pisgah turned things around against St. Andrew's Episcopal on Friday. They blew past the Saints 28-6. Considering the Dragons have won three games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pisgah's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Lake beat Pelahatchie 32-24 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now won four in a row.

Pisgah's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3. As for Lake, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-3.

Pisgah might still be hurting after the 28-7 loss they got from Lake in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
