Baseball Recap: Spring Takes a Loss

Spring fell victim to Aldine and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 1-0. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Spring got a good showing from Travis Ellis, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Ellis has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Spring saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allen Moore, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Aldine, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-5-3.

As of now, neither Spring nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
