Basketball Recap: Edwin O. Smith Comes Up Short

Edwin O. Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the East Catholic Eagles, falling 74-44. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Eagles are ranked ninth).

Edwin O. Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for East Catholic, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
