Soccer Game Preview: Pace vs. Fort Walton Beach

The Pace Patriots are taking a road trip to face off against the Fort Walton Beach Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Monday, Pace came up short against Gulf Breeze and fell 3-1. Pace haven't had much luck with Gulf Breeze recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Fort Walton Beach didn't have quite enough to beat Pensacola Catholic on Monday and fell 2-1. The loss was Fort Walton Beach's first of the season.

Pace's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fort Walton Beach, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1-2.

Everything went Pace's way against Fort Walton Beach when the teams last played back in January, as Pace made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
