Basketball Recap: Crestview Extends Winning Streak to Two

Crestview won the last time they faced Newton Falls, and Addison Rhodes did her part to make sure it happened again. The Crestview Rebels blew past the Newton Falls Tigers, posting a 50-11 victory thanks in part to Rhodes, who went 8 of 19 on her way to 21 points in addition to six assists and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Crestview's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Bri DiCross, who posted three points along with eight assists, five boards, and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Crestview and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Newton Falls, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Crestview and Washington will round out the year against one another at at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Crestview likes a good challenge. As for Newton Falls, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Newton Falls Tigers duke it out with the Bristol Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
