Basketball Recap: Trinity Collegiate Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against John Paul II, Trinity Collegiate was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 45-37 victory over the Conway Tigers.

When it comes to explaining why Conway lost, don't look at Rebecca Hemingway. Despite the final result, she went 9-for-21 to rack up 18 points and five steals. Hemingway's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Phoebe Stevenson, who posted five points and 12 rebounds.

Trinity Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Conway, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Trinity Collegiate will square off against Wilson Hall at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Conway, they will challenge Carolina Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
