Basketball Game Preview: Excelsior Springs Tigers vs. Odessa Bulldogs

Excelsior Springs hasn't had much luck against Odessa recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Excelsior Springs Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Odessa Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Excelsior Springs is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 18th straight game dating back to last season two weeks ago. They were beaten by Raytown South 79-30.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-45, which was the final score in Odessa's tilt against Webb City on Saturday. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Odessa and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Excelsior Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Excelsior Springs ended up a good deal behind Odessa in their previous matchup on December 13th, losing 57-43. Can Excelsior Springs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
