Basketball Recap: Watertown Takes a Loss

Watertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 62-53 to the Kennedy Eagles. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 57-54.

When it comes to explaining why Watertown lost, don't look at Christopher O'Toole. Despite the final result, he posted 31 points. That was a full 58.5% of Watertown's points, marking the fourth time in a row O'Toole has put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Johnathan Platt, who scored seven points and seven rebounds.

Watertown's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Kennedy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-11.

Watertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kennedy has already played their next game (against Holy Cross), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
