Basketball Game Preview: Faith Christian Lions vs. Tohopekaliga Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Faith Christian Lions challenge the Tohopekaliga Tigers at 2:30 p.m. on Monday... One thing working in Faith Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.

Last Tuesday, Faith Christian had just enough and edged Cornerstone Charter Academy out 59-57. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Ducks are ranked 528th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tohopekaliga scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 64-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Poinciana. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Faith Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Tohopekaliga, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
