The Las Vegas Wildcats claimed a resounding 58-26 victory over the Green Valley Gators thanks in part to Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 27 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last seven games she's played.
Despite the defeat, Green Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tabitha Bwakamba dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Bwakamba a new career-high in rebounds.
Las Vegas moved to 3-9 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Green Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.
