Baseball Recap: Vienna Takes a Loss

Vienna came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Frankfort Redbirds, falling 16-6. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Redbirds from their previous meeting back in May of 2022.

Vienna saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Jones, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Vienna has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. As for Frankfort, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-14.

As of now, neither Vienna nor the Redbirds have any future games scheduled.
