Basketball Recap: Bishop Kenny Victorious

Bishop Kenny won the last time they faced Rickards, and Kathleen Crawley did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bishop Kenny Crusaders took down the Rickards Raiders 34-18 on Saturday thanks in part to Crawley, who posted 16 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bishop Kenny's points.

Rickards' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Genesis Henry, who put up six points and six boards. Amirahs Hayes was another key player, putting up seven points.

Bishop Kenny's record is now 17-4. As for Rickards, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3.

Bishop Kenny wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-38 win against Creekside on the 21st. As for Rickards, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Godby at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. Rickards is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
