Basketball Recap: Window Rock Fighting Scouts vs. Page Sand Devils
Window Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 46-38 to the Page Sand Devils. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Scouts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Sand Devils are ranked 27th).

Several Fighting Scouts players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kourtney Bitselley, who posted 13 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Bitselley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Begaye, who earned seven points.
LeLaura Yazzie had a dynamite game for Page, going 5 of 12 en route to 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Tayla Franklin was another key player, going 7 for 10 on her way to 16 points.
Window Rock's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Page, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Window Rock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-53 defeat against Ganado on the 28th. Page has also already played their next match, a 44-42 loss against Chinle on the 28th.
