Preview: South Lake Eagles vs. Olympia Titans
The South Lake Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Olympia Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for South Lake: they have been struggling with ten straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Olympia has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
Last Friday, South Lake took a serious blow against East Ridge, falling 35-7.
South Lake's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Marcell Walker, who gained 148 total yards, and Kevens Charles who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown. Walker was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 68 yards.
Meanwhile, Olympia didn't have too much trouble with West Orange at home on Thursday as they won 34-20.
It was another big night for Romelo Ware, who rushed for 303 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry.
East Ridge's victory bumped their season record to 4-5 while South Lake's loss dropped theirs to 2-7.
South Lake suffered a grim 41-20 defeat to Olympia in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Will South Lake have more luck at home instead of on the road?
