Baseball Recap: Ellicottville Eagles vs. Oswayo Valley Green Wave
Ellicottville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Oswayo Valley Green Wave with a sharp 20-9 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ellicottville also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2022.
For Oswayo Valley's part, Sage McCleft was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Landon Flurscutz was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Ellicottville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hinsdale Central at 5:00 p.m. on April 12th. As for Oswayo Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 loss vs. Coudersport on the 27th.
