Softball Recap: De Soto Comes Up Short

De Soto lost against Wauzeka-Steuben back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates came up short against the Hornets, falling 8-2.

Kylee Venner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

De Soto now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Wauzeka-Steuben, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Looking ahead, De Soto will welcome La Farge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wauzeka-Steuben, they are taking a road trip to take on Boscobel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
