Basketball Recap: Scottsburg Takes a Loss

Scottsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 44-36 to the Seymour Owls. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Owls are ranked 85th).

Scottsburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Seymour, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Scottsburg will take on Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Seymour, they will face off against Charlestown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seymour is on a four-game streak of home wins, Charlestown a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
