Hueytown scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Wenonah Dragons by a score of 59-57. The Golden Gophers have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Samarian Franklin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wenonah, going 13 of 23 on her way to 31 points and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Franklin has scored at least a third of Wenonah's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aariyanah Parker, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.

Hueytown's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Wenonah, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hueytown will head out to take on Chelsea at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wenonah, they will take on Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
