Soccer Recap: Oakwood/Catlin Finds Playoff Glory Versus Fisher/Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oakwood/Catlin had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Fisher/Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Bunnies 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on October 7th.

Mason Swartz and Pedro Rangel V scored both of Oakwood/Catlin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 52 goals.

Oakwood/Catlin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those six matches.
