Basketball Recap: Tage Flodstrom Key Part of a Team Effort in Coyotes Win

Skyline won the last time they faced Kofa and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Skyline Coyotes secured a 52-48 W over the Kofa Kings. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Skyline got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tage Flodstrom out in front who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zavier Flores, who put up 12 points.

Several Kings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luis Negrete, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Negrete a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mark Mercado, who had 11 points.

Skyline's win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Kofa, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Skyline will face off against Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kofa, they will square off against Browne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Browne has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three matchups.
