Recap: Macksville Mustangs vs. Nickerson Panthers
The Macksville Mustangs entered their tilt with the Nickerson Panthers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Macksville claimed a resounding 52-20 win over Nickerson at home. Macksville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 26 points or more this season.
Mayce Russell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kambry Adams, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Macksville pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Nickerson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Macksville will take on Sunrise Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Nickerson, they will head out on the road to square off against Kingman on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Kingman is ranked 282nd, while Nickerson is ranked 286th).
