Baseball Game Preview: Rogue River Chieftains vs. North Valley Knights

For the second straight game, Rogue River will face off against North Valley. The Chieftains will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Knights at 3:00 p.m. Rogue River has given up an average of 11.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rogue River fell victim to North Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Chieftains' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The victory (which was North Valley's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rogue River, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-13.
