Pierce won the last time they faced Elkhorn Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bluejays walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Falcons.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 15-25, 25-23, 25-20.

Abbie Cone paced Pierce's offense, picking up 22 kills. Cone got some help from Adrienne Riggert and her 45 assists. Riggert also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kendyl Olson, each putting up three.

Pierce's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Elkhorn Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Pierce wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Boone Central on the 20th. As for Elkhorn Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Neligh-Oakdale on the 18th.
