Basketball Game Preview: Richwood Rams vs. Sterlington Panthers

The Richwood Rams will take on the Sterlington Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Richwood will face Sterlington after dropping another heartbreaker against Carroll on Friday, which marked the second time in a row the team's come within 3.1 of beating them. Richwood fell just short of Carroll by a score of 42-39. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Sterlington came tearing into Friday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Rams to the tune of 58-29. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Sterlington pushed their record up to 20-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Richwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-14.
