Basketball Game Preview: Kennedy Titans vs. Newark Memorial Cougars

Kennedy is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since November 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Washington by a score of 67-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), the Titans still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Newark Memorial didn't have too much trouble with Irvington on Tuesday as they won 69-50. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.

Newark Memorial's win came from a few key players Kennedy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Oliver Chen, who went 7 of 13 en route to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Libiran, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points.

Newark Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
