Mulberry entered their tilt with Ridge Community on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Ridge Community Bolts. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Mulberry walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-19.
Mateus Cusmanich paced Mulberry's offense, picking up 17 kills. Cusmanich got some help from Jayden Williams and his 23 assists. Ernesto Rangel controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Mulberry's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Ridge Community, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mulberry will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mater Brighton Lakes Academy at 7:00 p.m. on March 27th. After both having extra time off, Ridge Community and Winter Haven will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. Ridge Community is facing Winter Haven at the right time seeing as Winter Haven is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
