Recap: Weld Central Rebels vs. Berthoud Spartans
The Weld Central Rebels pushed their score all the way to 60 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Berthoud. Weld Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Branch, who scored 27 points. The matchup was Branch's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jace Cornelius, who scored 19 points.
Weld Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Berthoud, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weld Central will take on Brush at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brush is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Berthoud, they will be playing at home against The Classical Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
