Baseball Recap: Wayne Valley Comes Up Short

Wayne Valley suffered their biggest defeat since May 8, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the West Milford Highlanders, falling 12-5. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Highlanders earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Michael Kamper was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Joey Capizzano was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI.

Wayne Valley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for West Milford, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayne Valley will welcome Eastside at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for West Milford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clifton at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
