Volleyball Recap: Valor North Austin Lions vs. Providence Prep Rams

After flying high against KIPP Austin Collegiate last Tuesday, Valor North Austin came back down to earth. The Valor North Austin Lions fell just short of the Providence Prep Rams by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 25-16 in the first set.

Valor North Austin started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-16, 15-9.

Providence Prep found their leader in freshman Elle Morrison, who had nine digs and four aces.

Valor North Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Providence Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9-2.

Valor North Austin will welcome St. Andrew's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
