Football Recap: Scituate's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Scituate was the 48-0 winner over Plymouth South when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sailors fell 20-15 to the Panthers on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Sailors came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Panthers are ranked 49th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Scituate fell to 3-1. As for Plymouth South, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Scituate will square off against Pembroke at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sailors will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Plymouth South, they will challenge Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
