Red Mountain has gone 9-0 against Mesa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Red Mountain Mountain Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Mesa Jackrabbits at 6:00 p.m.

Red Mountain is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Mountain View just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Toros by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous 14 contests, Mesa brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Everything went their way against Skyline on Thursday as Mesa made off with a 4-0 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Jackrabbits' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Red Mountain's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Mesa, their win bumped their record up to 2-12-1.

Everything went Red Mountain's way against Mesa in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Red Mountain made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Red Mountain since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
