After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Adair, Kansas was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They escaped with a win against the Jay Bulldogs by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kansas is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Jay, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kansas will take on Inola at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jay, they will square off against Salina at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
