Preview: Stern Titans vs. Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions
The Stern Titans will head out on the road to take on the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Stern will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Stern strolled past Alliance Bloomfield with points to spare, taking the game 67-51.
Stern got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jr Romero out in front who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vince Villanueva, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Leadership Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Rise Kohyang with a sharp 56-33 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Los Angeles Leadership Academy has posted since November 16, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Los Angeles Leadership Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Ramirez, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Ramirez's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Andrew Blackman was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight assists and three steals.
Stern pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Everything went Stern's way against Los Angeles Leadership Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as Stern made off with a 69-48 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stern since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
