Preview: Clint Lions vs. San Elizario Eagles
The Clint Lions will head out on the road to challenge the San Elizario Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Clint had to suffer through a rough 66-38 loss at the hands of Mountain View. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Clint in their matchups with Mountain View: they've now lost six in a row.
San Elizario was handed a three-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Fabens on Tuesday. San Elizario simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fabens 60-24 on the road.
Clint's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for San Elizario, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-14 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Clint, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-33 loss to San Elizario in their previous meeting back in January. Can Clint avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
