Football Recap: Mountain View Takes Down Centennial in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mountain View walked away with it. They walked away with a 22-14 victory over the Centennial Coyotes on Friday. For the Toros, this counts as revenge for the 31-21 win the Coyotes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Coy Bodily had a dynamite game, rushing for 168 yards and one touchdown. Those 168 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mountain View was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 91.4 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 214.7.

Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Owen Reynoso, who rushed for 90 yards on only five carries. Qwyntyn Hadley was in the mix as well, providing Centennial with two scores.

The victory (which was Mountain View's third in a row) raised their record to 7-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.3 points over those games. As for Centennial, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Mountain View is taking a road trip to take on Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Brady Goodman and Jax Sculley. Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
