Basketball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Westside Rams, falling 78-28. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Rams are ranked ninth).

It was another big night for Asia Clinkscales, who went 9-for-11 on her way to 20 points and six assists for Westside. That's the most points Clinkscales has posted since back in December of 2024. Khalia Hartwell was another key player, going 7-for-9 to rack up 16 points and six boards.

Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Westside, their win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2.

As of now, neither Southside nor Westside have any future games scheduled.
