Basketball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lakeside can now relate to. They came up short against the Valley Vikings on Thursday, falling 53-31. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 55-45 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-40 win against Liberty Charter on the 21st. As for Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 69-40 loss against Prairie on the 21st.
