Softball Recap: Mercy McAuley Find Success

The Mercy McAuley Wolves narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Princeton Vikings 10-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Mercy McAuley got a massive performance out of Maddie Sucietto, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Sucietto launched this season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Olding, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

The victory got Mercy McAuley back to even at 6-6. As for Princeton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Mercy McAuley will take on St. Ursula Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Princeton, they will venture away from home to face off against Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
