Softball Recap: Frontier Drops Highest Score of Season Against Liberty

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Frontier). They never let the Liberty Patriots get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Bailey Freeborn was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with eight RBI, one triple, and one run. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalia Duran, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Frontier was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Frontier's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-7. As for Liberty, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Frontier will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
