Football Game Preview: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Brooklyn Technical Engineers

The Lincoln Railsplitters will challenge the Brooklyn Technical Engineers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lincoln will be strutting in after a win while Brooklyn Technical will be coming in after a defeat.

Lincoln is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Kennedy, posting a 38-8 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Railsplitters considering their six-point performance the game before.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 38 points the game before, Brooklyn Technical was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Eagle Academy II 59-6. While losing is never fun, the Engineers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Eagle are ranked 118th).

Brooklyn Technical's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lincoln, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Lincoln against Brooklyn Technical in their previous matchup back in November of 2016, as the team secured a 43-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Railsplitters since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
