Soccer Recap: Rockdale Comes Up Short

Rockdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-0 to the Giddings Buffaloes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buffaloes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in January.

Rockdale's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Giddings, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockdale will host La Grange at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockdale will be up against La Grange's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.21 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Giddings, they will be playing at home against C.H. Yoe at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Giddings is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season.
