The Hartfield Academy Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Warren Central Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hartfield Academy will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Hartfield Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Canton Academy on Tuesday as Hartfield Academy made off with a 19-0 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Brayden Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JP Abt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Henry Abt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Hartfield Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Warren Central suffered their biggest defeat since March 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 10-4 to Jackson Prep. The Vikings have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Tristan Jamison made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season. Trace Hood was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Hartfield Academy's record now sits at 6-0. As for Warren Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hartfield Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Warren Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Hartfield Academy came up short against Warren Central in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 14-10. Can Hartfield Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
