Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Zion Braves vs. St. Teresa Bulldogs

Mt. Zion and St. Teresa are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Mt. Zion Braves will head out on the road to face off against the St. Teresa Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Mt. Zion is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Lincoln on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Mt. Zion had to suffer through a 66-39 loss at the hands of Lincoln. The Braves have struggled against the Railsplitters recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, St. Teresa entered their tilt with Central A & M on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Raiders 43-20.

St. Teresa has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Mt. Zion, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Everything came up roses for Mt. Zion against St. Teresa when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 54-18 win. In that game, Mt. Zion amassed a halftime lead of 30-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
