Volleyball Recap: Herriman Falls Short Against Ranked Corner Canyon

Herriman faced Corner Canyon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Mustangs came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While Herriman ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-17.

Herriman's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Corner Canyon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Herriman will head out to square off against Bingham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corner Canyon, they will venture away from home to face off against Copper Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
