Volleyball Recap: Cedar Shoals Takes a Loss

Cedar Shoals was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flowery Branch Falcons. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 22, 2020, but that streak is no more.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-20.

Cedar Shoals' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Flowery Branch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Coincidentally, Cedar Shoals and Flowery Branch will both be playing Madison County the next time they take the court. The Falcons will head out to face the Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Jaguars will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
